Become a Volunteer
Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario operates with a team of over 150 volunteers. We are always looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to help with areas of the House. Some of the many benefits of becoming a volunteer include:
- The satisfaction that one gets from helping families experiencing extreme stress
- Making new friends
- Meeting wonderful families who use the House
- The knowledge that as a general rule one has a regularly-scheduled shift each week
- An excellent training and orientation program
- The opportunity to attend at least two volunteer events yearly with speakers, entertainment, great prizes and most of all, wonderful fellowship
- Letters of reference to prospective employers
- Experience in dealing with people
- Experience in small office procedures
We are now recruiting volunteers for the Ronald McDonald Family Room which is scheduled to open in the Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre later this year, as well as accepting application forms for In-House volunteers for our bigger and better House, scheduled to open soon.
